I was there as a: Seasonal Camper, Family with children
OK, I am somewhat biased as a seasonal camper, but I have attended other campgrounds which only tends to confirm my selection of Happy Hills as a home away from home. Facilities are marvelous and upgrades or new additions seem to be a yearly event. With any facility of this size, there are always minor glitches but those are easily rectified with a quick visit to the office. Staff are very accommodating. Two pools and a wading pool, 9 hole golf course, driving range, bouncy pillow and petting zoo for the kids, very large sites in newer sections of the park. Quiet. What more could you ask for. Great neighbours? Got them too.

I was there as a: Cottage/Cabin Renter, Family with children
There is a huge drain hole that is right beside the driveway that is so dangerous. Partially exposed with a wobbly piece over it; however it is something that my child or myself could fall in and down - all the way down. The new lg. bouncy pillow is completely unsupervised. I lost count one day after 50 children on it. No rules what so ever. Bigger kids double bouncing the little ones. Someone is going to seriously get injured. We had a cabin where the put mulch around the fire pit and it ran all the way up the cabin. The mulch started on fire from the pit a few times during our stay. We asked at the office if this can be fixed so it's not so dangerous. They never came around to fix it...I was so nervous every night wondering if the cabin was going to start on fire even though we put the fire out as best as we could before to bed every night. My 4 year old was in the hot tub with his older twin siblings - a worker saw him and made us take him out. The rules are that you need to be 6+ years old to be in the 'family' tub where they have it no warmer than a bathtub. The staff worker; her supervisor and the owner all came to yell at me and threaten us. There is no life gaurd on duty so literally 2 mins after they were gone someone with a small child walked in the hot tub. If they are trying to enforce a silly rule like that they need to have the pool supervised at all times. My 4 year old couldn't wait to leave. He kept waking up through the night telling me that he's not a BAD boy. And wondering why he was the only one they wouldn't let in the warm tub. The splash pad has a sign on it that it's for kids only under 5 years old. This is not monitored at all. But the warm tub is. Why so strict with one rule and not another? This is a nice campground with some fun things to do...however if you have children under 6 and some over 6; don't go - it'll break the little ones heart!
